Personal information preferences

Opera offers a convenient way of pasting often needed personal information into Web forms, saving you a lot of repeated typing.

First, fill in the fields in the Personal information preferences.

Then, whenever you need to fill in a form, use the following procedure:

  1. With your pointing device (mouse), point to the form element in question
  2. Use the contextual menu (Ctrl + click)
  3. Access the sub-menu under Insert
  4. Select the item you want to insert into the form

Try this feature now by filling in some of the fields in the Personal information preferences. Then use the procedure on the example form below:

Name
Address

If you turn on auto-completion in the Accessibility preferences, the personal information will even appear as an auto-complete drop-down when you type into the form with the keyboard. Try it out.
